After dating for years, this elegant, May Fifth, affair was the perfect blend of class and fun to celebrate Taylor and Cody getting married. The John Hand Building was filled with marble and elegant molding throughout and was an elegant backdrop for their big day. In the midst of getting ready, Taylor’s eyes were teary as she delicately placed the note in my hand, it was an envelope with an old coin that Taylor grandmother had given her mom on her wedding day, and is now being passed down to her. The rest of the day was filled with sentimental touches, one of my favorites being that the bride’s own brother officiated the ceremony.
With this wedding taking place on Cinco de Mayo, you knew it had to be a party. With tacos and a DJ, the dancing quickly ensued. And being at the top of the John Hand Building, one of the tallest and most historic building in downtown Birmingham, the dazzling skyline twinkled through the windows and gave the intimate party a feeling of grandeur.
